Hi and welcome to Taste Is Yours.
My name is Jan and I am the creator of this food blog. Besides that, I am the co-founder of an online magazine called ediblorial, CMO of a digital marketing agency The Digital Pug, and co-owner and photographer at Artisan Studio. I like to play golf, own a black pug called Archie and live in Krakow, Poland.
I was born in Košice, Slovakia, and have half-Hungarian roots. When I was 16 years old my parents moved to one of the villages in the Tokaj region. Not the Hungarian, but the Slovak part of it. I immediately fall in love with the region and also discovered my passion for wine, which I have until today.
Later on, during my work for a global corporation, I discovered my passion for people management and food. During those years I traveled through Central European countries many times and I was able to taste all the best and most authentic dishes.
In 2016 I’ve decided to change my passion to something more and I started Taste Is Yours. I have spent countless hours recreating my favorite dishes and learned a lot about food photography.
Today, the Taste Is Yours is full of the best Slovak, Czech, Hungarian and Polish recipes. Creating them makes me happy as they always remind me of my origin, my friends, and more importantly my family.
