Traditional Polish Fish Cutlets Recipe

Polish Fish Cutlets (kotlety rybne) are a classic and delicious dish made with fish, breadcrumbs, and eggs. They are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and they can be served with a variety of sauces and sides.

Most Popular Ingredients for Polish Kotlety Rybne

  • Fish: Any white fish can be used to make kotlety rybne, but cod, pollock, and haddock are the most popular choices.
  • Breadcrumbs: Breadcrumbs provide structure and texture to the kotlety rybne.
  • Eggs: Eggs help bind the ingredients together.
  • Onion: Onion adds flavor and moisture to the kotlety rybne.
  • Garlic: Garlic adds a hint of spice to the kotlety rybne.
  • Salt and pepper: Salt and pepper are essential for seasoning the kotlety rybne.

My Advice to Make the Best Polish Kotlety Rybne

  • Use fresh fish: The fresher the fish, the better the kotlety rybne will taste.
  • Don’t overmix the ingredients: Overmixing will make the kotlety rybne tough.
  • Use a light hand when forming the kotlety rybne: If you press too hard, they will become dense.
  • Cook the kotlety rybne over medium heat: If you cook them over high heat, they will burn on the outside before they are cooked through on the inside.

Spices

In addition to the spices listed above, you can also add other spices to your kotlety rybne, such as paprika, cumin, or nutmeg.
